Clinician Connect Academy

How does it work?

Healthcare professionals, registered with their governing body, with experience in their own sector can enrol  onto the clinician connect training course.

The course includes 12 chapters of online learning, a weekend workshop (max of 8 delegates per workshop and min 2 tutors) and 36 hours of time spent in clinical practice supervised by a clinician connect tutor. 

Once you have completed your online learning, the weekend workshops and your 36 hours have been signed off by a clinician connect tutor you will be enrolled onto the clinician connect register.  

This register is recognition that you have completed the relevant CPD accredited training, have access to clinician connect exclusive resources and support, the relevant indemnity insurance and are now available to work in the areas that need your skills and expertise to support their existing team.

How do I get work?

Clinician connect already has access to the primary care teams that need you. By signing up to Clinician Connect you are committing to a minimum of 150 sessions per year (3 hours per session). 

You are able to dictate the hours that you work from 08:30 to 18:30 Mon-Fri. 

Sessions can be booked AM or PM or both, dictated by you on the booking system.   

Your unique profile will display your individual skill set. This will include the core competencies taught on the course and any other additional skills that you can offer to primary care. You will gain access to our unique online booking system to display your availability to work.  The primary care team that access the Clinician Connect booking system will select the most appropriate practitioner for their needs and an immediate notification of booking will be sent accordingly.

Will I see the right patients?

Each primary care team that uses Clinician Connect practitioners will have received training to ensure their clerical teams can book the appropriate patients into the most appropriate clinician. During the Clinician Connect training you will be taught how to handle a presentation that you do not feel competent to deal with.

How do I sign up?

Registration for Clinician Connect will go live on Jan 1st 2018. The course fee is 1200 inc VAT. 

The course fee OR your indemnity insurance costs are refundable once you have completed 110 sessions for Clinician Connect practices. 

The first 8 to sign up will be contacted first to schedule in their clinical hours.  

All clinical practise training sessions will be completed from Waterside Medical Practise, Brunel Way, Briton Ferry. 

Clinical hours will be available to be booked from February 2018 via a separate booking system provided during the course. These will be booked on a first come first serve basis so get your diaries ready! 

The introductory chapters will be immediately available after registration. As you progress through the course further chapters will be available to view.

Workshops:

Workshops will run from 10am until 5pm Sat and Sun. Refreshments and lunch will be provided.

3rd & 4th Feb , 19th & 20th May, 23rd &24th June

And finally, how much will I earn?

We’re confident that the rates of pay offered by Clinician Connect will equal or exceed your existing salary or hourly rate. Drop us a line at [email protected] to discuss the sessional rate.
